Climate Appropriate Urban Development in Kosovo

On 21 February 2024, Mr. Arsim Fetahu, the CEO of the Regional Water Company Prishtina (RWCP), and Mr. Mathias Lueg, the Managing Director of GOPA Infra, signed a KfW-funded consulting contract for four years with a volume of 3 million Euro. Also present at the event were: Mr. Premtim Islami - Senior National Coordinator, KfW Office Kosovo, Mr. Getoar Mjeku - Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economy and Mr. Bashkim Pllana - Head of Board of Directors of RWCP (from left to right).

Pristina and its neighboring municipalities are suffering from large technical and administrative water losses. The RWCP team and the consortium composed of GOPA Infra, Emscher Wassertechnik and EWEC Water will apply innovative solutions to reduce these water losses and to strengthen the managerial and technical capacities of RWCP.

Mr. Alexander Pinciu as Project Director and Mr. Jörg Struss as Team Leader Accompanying Measures (ACM) will be the principal officers of GOPA Infra during the implementation of the project.
