Energy efficiency in Serbia

Friday, August 25, 2023

Representatives from the Serbian Ministry of Public Investment, KfW and GOPA Infra convened in Belgrade to commence the Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings project.

The 36 million Euro investment is dedicated to the energy-efficient renovation of public buildings, particularly schools, in specified municipalities across Serbia. The project aims to enhance energy efficiency in selected buildings, bolster the ability to execute decentralised public infrastructure projects with an emphasis on energy efficiency, and to stimulate local value chains. This is to contribute to the population and the environment benefitting from a sustainable, efficient and reliable energy supply, laying the groundwork for Serbia's convergence to the EU in accordance with the Energy chapter of the Acquis Communautaire.

GOPA Infra and its joint-venture partner INGOB.ZT will support the Ministry in monitoring, auditing, and supervision.
